Saturday morning we woke up at 7am Hawaii time, which means it was 11am our time. The hotel was renovating one of their pools and their restaurant, so they had free breakfast every morning. It was yummy and nice that we didn't have to go anywhere to get breakfast. This was the garden view from our room.
We decided to go to the beach that day. There is a beach there that not many tourists know about, so there aren't too many people there. To get there you have to drive about 20 minutes on a dirt road. We made sure our rental car had 4 wheel drive just so that we could go to this beach. You can take any car, but there are some spots where you could get stuck if your not careful. It was so nice there. There's the beach and the ocean on one side and if you turn around there are the mountains. It's awesome.
We spent most of the day on this beach. We layed out until we got hot and then we played in the water until we got hungry then we left to go eat. We drove around for a while just enjoying the island. If we saw a house for sale we would stop and pick up a flier just for fun. The cheapest place we ever found was a 2 bedroom 2 bath for $580,000. Guess we'll never be living in Hawaii unless Casey can get a much better job. After that we were pretty worn out from being in the sun all day, so we just hung out at the hotel and relaxed on the balcony. We were planning on leaving late Sunday night, so we asked Casey's mom to put us on the list for the flight. She said that Delta was having an embargo, so if you were flying on a buddy pass, which I was, you couldn't change to be on the list for that flight. So, that meant that we had to stay an extra day, Woohoo!!! One more day in Hawaii, I was excited.
