We finally had a weekend to go camping yay!! We haven't been camping since June. We just went up to soapstone. It was a little cold at times but not too bad. My brother and his family came up just for the day to go for a ride. Caleb loved having his cousins to play with.
My Grandma Larsen wanted to take all of the grandkids and great grandkids to a pumpkin patch. Afterwards we went to her house to roast hotdogs. Caleb couldn't wait to carve his pumpkin so we did. I figure we can always get another one closer to halloween. Caleb wanted his pumpkin to be transformers. Thanks to the internet, we found a pattern and carved away. It turned out pretty cool. I think I did a pretty good job.
My sister has a super saturday coming up and she is in charge of some of the crafts. I thought I would be a nice sister and help her out. She found some cute pumpkins on pinterest made out of 2x4's and when we went to Lowes to get the wood, we decided that they would be cuter if they were 4x4s. Now you have to understand that when it comes to crafting, sometimes we do good and other times we totally mess things up. But we always have a good time. Anyway, we had to cut our own wood and neither of us has done that before. I know scary huh. But we got it all cut with a few laughs along the way. Since I'm not a craft blogger I don't have step by step pictures. But I would say that this project turned out great.
Caleb wanted to help me put up our Halloween decorations and was sad when I wouldn't let him put any on his work bench. So, I got out some supplies and we made some jack-o-lanterns and ghosts out of paper, and made spiders out of pom poms and pipe cleaners.
