Caleb's Birthday

Caleb is 3!!  I can't believe how fast the time has gone by.  Reflecting back on the last three years, it's crazy how many changes they go through in such a short amount of time.  I'm just trying to prepare myself for the up coming year. According to my family 3 is worse than 2.  Let's hope I make it because honestly, there have been some days that if it wasn't for Casey's amazingly easy going personality, either myself or Caleb would have been dead.

I wasn't sure what to get Caleb for his birthday.  He already has plenty of toys so I didn't want to get him more.  I decided that we should get him a bike, but I still wasn't sure how well he would like it.  He has a tricycle, but doesn't ride it much.  We decided to take him to the store to pick out the one he wanted.  He has loved it and rides it daily.  It was a good decision to get a bike.

We had two parties, due to confilct of schedules of Caleb's grandparents.  We had Casey's family at our house on Saturday afternoon. Then we had a party with my family at my parents house on Sunday evening. Caleb wanted a john deere tractor cake and I wasn't about to spend the money to buy one.  So, I got my creative juices flowing and made not one, but two(becuase of the two parties).  I was really happy with the way they turned out.  I'm not going to quit my job to become a cake decorator, but It might be something to fall back on if needed.  Just kidding:)

I know, he has way more than 3 candles on his cake, but I let him choose what candles he wanted and he chose the ones that spell happy birthday.  He got lots of fun gifts, thanks everyone.  He got a fire station complete with firemen, a fire engine, a helicopter, and furniture.  He got a nerf gun, a squirt gun, a john deere tractor, a catepillar tractor and a water sprinkler that he asks everyday if it's warm enough to play with yet, then throws a fit and argues with me when I say it's not warm enough.  I didn't get pics of all the gifts, but here is the cool fire station from Nana and Papa.
Yes, it has a toilet and he loves to make his firemen go potty.
