Sand Hollow

We decided to go back to Sand Hollow this year.  We had such a fun time last year.  I think we will make it an annual event. It was colder this year.  The first day was very windy.  The second day was a little better and the kids were able to play a little more.  The third day rained all day and the last day was warm and sunny.  But we still had fun.  There was a scorpion that we found at camp.  Caleb's cousin had a bug catcher cage that we put it in.  The kids thought it was so cool.
The kids had so much fun riding the four wheelers and motorcycles.  You can't tell in this picture, but my brother made training wheels to put on the little motorcycles so that the kids could ride them.  Caleb says he wants a motorcycle for his next birthday.

On the day it rained we went into St. George and went to the dinosaur museum.  Caleb didn't enjoy it.  It was a little too old for him.
I'm still dumping sand out of Caleb's shoes!!!
My mom and dad bought the kids big kites to fly while we were there.  The wind was perfect for them.  They were big airplanes.
We also had a little kite that we flew.  My brother and brother in law (they act like kids sometimes, ok, most of the time) wanted it to go higher so they tied the end of the kite string to fishing line on a fishing pole.  I don't remember exactly what happened but the string broke or something and the kite flew away. They wanted to continue the kite fun so my brother, his wife, and my brother in law went to walmart to buy another one.  When they got to walmart they saw our lost kite!  So, they grabbed the string and got the kite back.  Good thing because walmart was out of kites.  Here they are coming back with the kite.
Well,  we ended up losing the kite again because the string broke because it got caught on part of the stick that it was wound up on.  My sister in law and I went to walgreens and they had kites for $3, so we bought one for each of the kids.  They had so much fun flying kites.  Caleb had fun flying his kite until a big gust of wind broke his string and his kite flew away.
The kids loved playing in the lake.  I don't know how they could stand to play in it.  The water was freezing.  The air tempurature (until the last day) wasn't very warm either.  But they had fun.
