Elk Ridge

This past week we went camping to Elk Ridge.  It's one of our favorite places to go.  We had quite a few things that didn't to too well.  My brother got a flat tire on our way out of town.  The first night at camp Caleb threw up twice.  The next day a 14 year old boy rolled a four wheeler and broke his arm.  My brother and I had to give him first aid and then he was taken to Blanding (an hour away) to the hospital.  Casey was sick on Wednesday night and I got sick on Friday night and had to travel home on Saturday sick, not fun!  Even though all of that happened we still had a lot of fun.  Caleb loved playing in the dirt with his cousins and enjoyed all of the four wheeler rides we went on. Here are some pictures of what we did.  It was hard to narrow down a weeks worth of pictures so there's a lot.

This is the road that we have to tow our trailer up to get to camp.  It's pretty scary.  I hate this part of the drive.  I couldn't get the road and how far it drops off on the side in the picture because it goes way down.

The boys playing in the teryx.

We went digging for petrified wood.

We went to the dollhouse ruin again.

Every time we went on a ride these two boys fell asleep.  At first we would take them out and lay them down to nap, but they would always wake up.  So, we ended up just leaving them there.

We explored around an old car and truck.

There were two old Cabins in a pretty meadow.  The boys loved going in "their houses."

We went fishing one day.  Everyone caught lots of fish.  Caleb liked catching them but didn't like them close by him.  The boys had just as much fun throwing rocks in the lake as they did fishing.

It was so dry and dusty that Caleb was always dirty.  We had to give him a bath every night.

We caught horny toads for the boys to look at.  The first horny toad we caught, the boys let it out of the box and it ran away.  I found another one that we kept for a day and then let it go.

Caleb is shooting bears.
