St. George

From Saturday to Wednesday, Casey had to go work down in St. George.  We decided that Caleb and I should go too since Qwest was paying for the hotel room.  Casey left to go down on Saturday.  I had to teach primary on Sunday, so Caleb and I left after church.  I was a little worried traveling that far all by myself with Caleb and trying to keep him entertained.  Caleb actually did a great job.  We only had to stop once along the way.  On the way back from our trip to Sand Hollow, our dvd player quit working.  So I just brought my lap top and figured out a way to prop it up so Caleb could see it.  I only had to put a movie on during the last part of our drive.

The first day we were there we went swimming at the hotel's pool.  They had an indoor and outdoor pool.  So, we swam outside until I thought Caleb had enough sun then we went to the indoor pool.  I didn't get any pictures of us swimming because I didn't want my child to drown while trying to get a picture. After swimming, my worn out little boy took a nap until Casey got off work.  Then we went to dinner and did some shopping for Casey.  While we were out Caleb found some foam alphabet mats that hook together and you can take the letters out, kind of like a puzzle.  He had to have it.  I wouldn't have bought it, but Casey is a softie.  For the rest of the night Caleb played with his new "letter A puzzle," that's what Caleb called it.  Our room was a mess, but hey, it kept him entertained whenever we were just hanging out in the room.

On Tuesday, we did a little shopping first thing.  I found a great pair of levi's for $18, woohoo! After shopping, I found a park and let Caleb play.  It was a great park.  He loved the swings and slides.

I love/hate spray on sunscreen. I love how it goes on the body, I hate trying to get it on the face. I can't ever tell if I got the face good enough. Obviously I didn't because after being in the sun all morning, my poor little boy looked like he had a skin disease or something. It was all red and splotchy.  It didn't seem to bother him though.

After the park, we had lunch, Caleb napped, and I finally watched Eclipse.  I know, I was way behind.  After Caleb's nap we went to dinner at the pizza factory.  There was this old fire engine outside that Caleb had to sit in.  He would have stayed there all night if we let him.

On Wednesday, I didn't want to leave until it was about time for Caleb to have a nap so that he would sleep part of the way home.  So, we went back to the park we had played at on Tuesday.  After a while Caleb said he wanted to go play on the fire engine, so I took him there to play for a little bit until we met Casey for lunch.  After lunch, we started our drive home.  We stopped in Scipio for a break and an ice cream cone then finished our ride home.  Caleb did great on the ride home.  I've decided that he's a great traveler.
