Count Down to Disneyland

We have decided to take Caleb to Disneyland at the end of February.  We wanted to take him before he turns 3 so that he can get in for free.  We I need a vacation anyway.  I'm so excited.  Caleb is way excited and has been saying, "Mom, see that clock over there, it says it's time for Disneyland."  So, I thought I would do a Disneyland countdown.  He didn't really care about our Christmas countdown, so I knew I needed to do something different this time.  I hopped online and found some great ideas.  I combined a couple of ideas and came up with this.

Caleb helped my color the letters.  We take a link off everyday and when we get to Mickey it's time to go to Disneyland.  He loves it.  Some of the links have activities on them.  This weeks activites had a Finding Nemo theme.  Monday we watched finding nemo and ate popcorn.  Tuesday we colored a Nemo picture.  Wednesday we had a fish lunch.  I made a sandwich and cut it out with a shark cookie cutter, of course we had gold fish crackers, and I made him a fish drink.  For the drink we used blue koolaid and the day before I had fozen some shark fruit snacks in ice cubes.

Thursday I worked so we didn't do an activity.  Friday we went to the aquarium.  They have otters there now and they were pretty cool.  They took the place of a boat that the kids could drive and Caleb kept asking where the boat was, it was one of his favorite things.  After the aquarium we went to lunch at McDonalds.  So far this countdown is going great and Caleb loves to take the links off.
